It’s raining. It’s chilly. And it feels like April…
It’s not. It’s May. The END of May... But what can we do?
The pastures are all thick, green and lush because of it though – which makes the horses happy. And the hay fields happy. And ME very, very happy…
And apparently the fig trees are happy too… This is a photo of what started out this year as the smallest of the fig trees – and it still is… But I’m totally cheering it on.
It’s showing progress and so is the second smallest fig tree – the one a friend gave me last year…
And here is my absolute favorite – the one I propped up with stones, to straighten it after laying it flat and burying it under leaves and hay over the long, cold winter…
Remember what that fig pant looked like last month? No? Me neither. I have a shitty memory… Let’s have a look then – here is is ….
Pretty big difference – I think? I’m happy. The figs are happy, the horses are happy. The pastures and hay fields are happy. Rain is good (tolerable). ~A
