I failed miserably at posting in April. Why?
Oh, the normal things that get in the way of nurturing one’s creative outlets, like taxes, and work. Also, horrible, frigid weather dusted with plenty of snowfall. That really got me down. I was tired of staring sorrowfully at dead grass, dead trees, snow…
Then I took time to remove a… well, let’s just call it a “negative presence,” from my life. That effort took a lot out of me mentally, but it had to be done and was well worth it.
Admittedly, I may have also been a smidge wrapped up in all the new baby goats to even think about writing a post. Miss Sweet Pea gave birth to triplets on April 5th, and that made a total of five healthy baby goats for the farm this year. And how can one not spend every free second of their time smooshing on cute baby goats?
Easter also happened in April, but I didn’t have any family over to celebrate this year. So there was nothing to post about there.
I had a delivery of 132 bales of hay delivered to get me through until my fields are ready to be cut and baled. But posting about an April hay delivery seemed rather boring.
The hay-eating animals are going through about a bale and a half each day. This amount will decrease once the pastures become lush and green. Which should be around September, the way the weather is going this year…
So there, April came and went, with several distractions and only one little post. ~A
