Back in February, I wrote a post about my longing for an outdoor equestrian arena. I posted an aerial photo here of where I decided to have it placed on the property. Below is a view I shot from the barn loft of where it will be…
Last week I met with the contractor again, who will be doing the job. He measured a 150×200 area for the arena and gave me an estimate on the cost of excavation and materials for the arena surface. I finally decided to give him the okay to start moving forward on the project… And empty my bank account. Below is a another view of where it will be, as seen from my back patio…
The project is going to be expensive (and I hate spending money), but this is a huge dream of mine that has long been on hold. In fact, I have a whole section devoted to arena ideas on my Pinterest page. It’s something I’ve really wanted since I bought my farm.
The completion date has not yet been set for the project. I’ll keep you updated along the way with new posts showing the progress. I’d like to hopefully have it done by the end of October before the cold weather sets in. Fingers crossed. ~A
