I know for sure Springtime is finally here because I can’t control myself from heading outside to forage for whatever wild edibles I can find. This past weekend it was wild allium and dandelion.
I added my discovered delicacies to a pot of soup I made for work lunches this week. Good stuff, as fresh as you can get, and packed with vitamins! My mother thinks it’s crazy that I do this. Actually a lot of people probably share that thought, but whatever.
I also know Spring is here because my clothes fit way tighter than I prefer after a long shitty winter of too many carbs and obscene amounts of wine. Which also makes me realize it’s time to eat nothing but salad, and vegetable soup until my clothes fit comfortably again.
The chickens have quit free-loading and stepped up their egg production. Just in time for all those Easter recipes.
This morning I hard-boiled a half-dozen eggs with the intention of making deviled eggs later this evening. I honestly cannot even remember the last time I made deviled eggs? And now I’m craving Deviled-Pickled Eggs….. Is that even a thing? ~A
You do make me jealous.
