Dreary gloomy mornings

This morning’s sunrise was hidden behind dark, dreary clouds, but still managed to hint of its existence with a few stains of rose poking through the sky.  Confession – I like gloomy mornings just as much as sunny ones.

Gloomy Sky

We had warmer temperatures yesterday, and most of the snow and ice has melted away. This Saturday and Sunday the temperatures will be in the 50’s and that should take care of anything that’s left of it.  At least for now.

I do think we’re past the worst of this Winter and Spring is on it’s way.  I’ve noticed a lot of sparrows out in the yard flirting and mating, and surely they must know more about Spring’s arrival than we do…  Maybe I’ll go fishing this weekend if the ice has melted on the pond.

Gloomy Day

Everything is a gross shade of brown right now… but by the end of March things should look a lot more interesting – like last year in March.

The “brown” is fine for now though, and it sure beats the alternative ⇓ ⇓ ⇓

Winter on the Farm

The time change will take place in a couple of weeks, which makes everything seem better. Oh wow – this coming March will mark a year’s time from when the whole shit-show Covid thing started where I live.  It’s now been over a year since I’ve sat down in a restaurant and eaten a meal.  I honestly don’t really miss it though.  What I do really miss is seeing people’s faces without masks.

How much longer do you think this whole “mask” thing will last?  ~A
