It’s been a roller coaster over these past weeks with weather consisting of “Almost Spring”, “Official Spring”, and “Nope, sorry dude – still very (unofficially) Winter!”…. Mother Nature is such a funny gal – isn’t she?
And I’m so over it. And also slightly pissed that I’ve put so much work into getting my fruit trees as ready as can be, for a year that I thought might be productive. Now I’m not sure I will get any fruit on the trees after two days of freezing temperatures and snow. But hey – that’s farm life, and time will tell.
Likely, I won’t be able to find enough canning lids to can any fruit anyway. At least not at a price I could stomach paying. This world and this pandemic are out of control, but I won’t go down that rabbit hole today. Let’s stay positive – right?
Next week is going to “bee” busy…
The bees I ordered over the winter are due to ship to my post office on Tuesday or Wednesday. The new hives are set up and ready to go. I’m hoping my mail carrier is cool with dropping off crates full of live bees to my doorstep. I will call on Monday and give them a courtesy warning…
Can you believe we’re four months through this year already? I really hope the whole Covid thing cools off soon. Please, please, please no more f’ing masks or restrictions! This crap is insane. Can’t we all just have a normal Summer and less bullshit in this world? Is that too much to ask? ~A
